Mossgill Loft was originally the Sunday schoolroom and part of the Baptist
Chapel.
It is approached by a short flight of stone steps and has converted into a cosy flat for two people. The connecting fire door with the Chapel is kept locked at all times unless it is let as a whole. It is centrally heated and all fuel, electricity, logs, coal and linen are included in the rent. The outlook is across the fellside village towards
open farmland. It is a very popular holiday option and we get many repeat bookings.
There is a large living/kitchen room with open fire, comfortable furniture, television, DVD player, wooden floors and rugs. There is an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, sink, cupboards and washing machine attractively housed in a pine and tiled kitchen area. Original beams and lattice windows add to its charm.
A selection of books, games and DVD’s are supplied.
Leading off the kitchen is the bedroom with a standard size double bed, lattice windows and beams. The bathroom leads off the bedroom, and has a bath with shower attachment, basin, lavatory and airing cupboard.
Outside there is a paved sitting out area with garden furniture and it is planted with shrubs and flower- filled stone troughs. A fuel store is situated just beyond a wooden arch. Parking is over the wall on an area of mown grass, and visible from the Loft.
Our tennis court is available for guests to use and we can store bicycles in our barn which is between our house and the Loft and is secure.
